Space, the final frontier… Denis’s aspiration is to know as much as possible about the universe. Over the years, he has excelled in all sciences and has won numerous medals at Olympics in astronomy, physics, mathematics, science, chemistry. Denis returned home, to Romania, with silver medals at the International “Archimedes” Contest 2010 and the International Physics Olympiad 2013. In 2012 he participated in the summer courses of numbers theory in the Educational Program for Gifted Youths, organized by Stanford University. In 2013 he won a bronze medal at the International Astronomy Olympiad. Denis also won the bronze medal at the international competition of mathematical models MCM – The Mathematical Contest in Modeling. In 2013, Denis was the absolute winner of the International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics, a competition held in Greece. Recently, Denis was admitted to Harvard University, Stanford University and Cambridge University. He decided to attend the courses of Harvard University. In 2014, Denis won the silver medal at the International Physics Olympiad and was the absolute winner of the first International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics held in Romania, at Suceava.
The Ciprian Marica Foundation scholarship covered his transportation expenses to the United States of America, where he has already begun studying at Harvard, at the “Faculty of Arts and Sciences”, as well as the costs for obtaining the visa.
