The eighth edition of the World Ballet Competition in Florida, The United States of America, reached its end and Irina Tarău returned home with many scholarships on the entire map of the world. The fifth place she won in this competition was a path breaker to an international career for Irina. She was invited to be a part of training courses in Florence, Boston, Orlando, etc.
The World Ballet Competition supports and encourages excellence in the art of dance. It is a tough competition even beginning with the registration process, where dancers from all over the world, from ages 10 to 22, all levels of experience, from introductory to professional, send their portfolios and a presentation movie with one of their representations and hope to be selected for one of the limited places in the competition. The jury is very strict in the process of choosing the participants.
