Mircea Dumitrescu, our scholar, finished 2014 on one of the greatest scenes of our country. He continues his great performances in 2015.

October came by with an exceptional violin recital for Mircea Dumitrescu, at the Romanian Athenaeum. As part of the Tuesday Evening Season, Mircea chose Beethoven, Schubert and Brahms, and was ably accompanied by the pianist Verona Maier.

2015 debuted with the first prize won by Mircea at the National Olympiad in Music, country stage, in his age category.

This successful career continued with the first prize awarded to the violinist at the “Modest Iftinchi” National Violin Competition.

Mircea has an important step in his career this May. He will compete in the Young Competition Talents Orchestra at Barlassina, Italy. The Romanian violinist is among a small group of 34 violinists from around the world, selected by a professional jury.
