Mircea Dumitrescu, a Ciprian Marica Foundation’s scholar, will perform for the second time in his career to a Stradivarius violin.
Stradivarius violins are considered masterpieces by specialists. The legendary Antonio Stradivari, the italian violin-maker who created the famous instruments is classified as one of the greatest artisans in the field, the price of an instrument signed by him reaching today even 6 million euros.
Mircea Dumitrescu, the 18 years old violonist, first-place winner at more than 60 national and international competitions, will perform in Sibiu on a 1765 Stradivarius violin, offered to him for this concert by the “Stradivarius Violins” Foundation.
The “New Generation” concert will be held on November 27th, 2016, at 5:00 p.m., in the Hall of Mirrors within the German Forum Sibiu.
Our scholarship student will sing alongside Ms. Monica Florescu – piano and Mr. Fernandez Makcim Samodaiev – cello.
The entrance is free for this event, so we invite all classical music lovers for what is going to be a mesmerizing show.
