Casian won the big prize in the business contest at MIT Launch, together with his teammates, Noah Schochet and Kevin Li! This summer, MIT Launch gathered 70 top students from the entire world, grouped in 19 teams.
MIT Launch is a program developed by the famous university Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States that consists of four weeks during which participants work in teams and learn from MIT coordinators how to launch a company. Among MIT graduates there are numerous scientists, architects, inventors, including 25 Nobel Prize laureates.
The winning project is called Dropwise and aims to use modernized technology to provide homeowners with a smarter, more effective way to monitor and conserve water. The device attaches to water meters and transmits real-time water usage data to a smartphone app, where users can track and understand their water usage throughout the day.
